Powell Design Group, Inc., an architectural, planning and interior design firm, was founded in 1984 in Orlando, FL by George L. Powell. After being awarded a $24 million multi-use project on the Indian River in St. Lucie County, a second office location was added in Fort Pierce in 2006. In January 2007, after 23 years of successful practice, Powell Design group merged with Jacksonville-based DesignWorks Architects. The merger added not only a third office location, but expertise in governmental, banking and educational market sectors, in addition to our already-established reputation in hospitality, multi-family residential, commercial and retail projects.
Powell Design Group has served a variety of valued clients over the years, many with repeat projects or under continuing services contracts. These have included Disney, Marriott, Mercantile Bank, University of Central Florida, University of North Florida, Duval County Public Schools, Jacksonville Port Authority, and hundreds of successful private developers and entrepreneurs. With professional registration in 16 states and a diverse project portfolio, Powell Design Group lives up to its goal of “Creating Successful Environments.”
